Update Feeding Westchester Thanksgiving Initiative

 Hi, Everyone,

There was some confusion about who was coordinating the Thanksgiving food donations - my bad.

Angela Usobiaga, a volunteer with Feeding Westchester and an active IP member, is coordinating this worthwhile effort. The dropoff box is at her home at:

208 Fairview Dr
Pleasantville

It would help her plan if you would email her to let her know when you'll be making a dropoff; contact her at

Your contributions will complete the dinners which will include a chicken, ham or turkey and fresh produce.

Please join me to make this Thanksgiving truly a day of thanks for all of our Westchester neighbors.

In closing, I know there was promising news.today on a covid vaccine, but let's not let our guard down yet. Please stay safe and wear your mask.

IP Thanksgiving Volunteer Opportunity

 Hi Everyone,

Well, we can all exhale now. It was a tense week and may be a strange two and a half months, but it's beginning to feel more normal.

Mondaire Jones is going to the House, Tom Abinanti is returning to the NY Assembly, Mimi Rocah is our new county DA. We're still awaiting results on the Astorino - Harckham race, but Pete remains hopeful.

Thank you for all your hard work to get the candidates elected!

Now let's put our efforts into another good cause. Angela Usobiaga has sent information about a worthwhile project for making sure our neighbors have what they need for Thanksgiving dinner.

Initiative of Feeding WestchesterSee link below for full information

IF YOU’D LIKE TO PARTICIPATE AND DON’T WANT TO TRAVEL TO ELMSFORD TO DELIVER A BAG/SOME BAGS:  I’m setting up a covered plastic bin by my front door where you can deposit bags at any time.  As they accumulate, I’ll deliver them in batches to Elmsford.  IF you’re unable to drive for some reason, I can pick up.

The bags are a great idea.  Saves guess work AND saves sorting time at the food bank warehouse to assemble a complete box for a family.

Again, thanks for your hard work this election season. Celebrate safely and please wear your mask.
