URGENT ACTION: Signatures Needed for Pleasantville Board Candidate

Last year our founding was marked by the election of Nicole Asquith to the Village Board.
This year I'd like to ask for your support for David Vinjamuri for Village Board.
He needs 100 signatures from residents of the Village of Pleasantville by MONDAY. If you are a resident of the village and would be willing to sign the petition (this is merely to get his name on the ballot - you ARE NOT promising to vote for him) please contact us on Facebook for via email and we will figure out how to get your signature.
David will be attending our IP meeting on the 11th to speak about his reasons for running for the board.
If you are able to help gather signatures PLEASE let us know ASAP. We could use people at the train station in the morning and afternoon.
This Saturday there will be a signature gathering meet up at 10am at Black Cow - David will be there so you can meet him and then go out and get some signatures.
If we can get 10 people to get 10 signatures each he will be on the ballot.
I know this is rushed notice and you may not know David - but please come out if you can - the Village Board, as we have seen through the reusable bag initiative, is so important for setting the tone for our lives in Pleasantville.

[SERVICE PROJECT] The Birthday Box

As discussed at January's meeting, this month's service project will be a drive for The Birthday Box, a non-profit that provides children in need with an opportunity to blow out candles and make a birthday wish on his or her special day. An entire birthday celebration is assembled, packaged & then delivered to Westchester children. This "party in a box" includes a birthday cake, candles, party plates, a birthday present and party decorations.
All items must be NEW and in UNOPENED packages. We will collect:
  • Plates, cups, napkins, in sets of 8, 12 or 16, themed to all match or generic "happy birthday."
  • Packages of forks, in sets of 8, 12, 16 (any color!)
  • Toys: new, in original packaging, ages 1-16
  • Candles
  • Cake mix and frosting

There is an Amazon Wish List for this drive, so if you would like to place an order and have items shipped directly to Justine, visit
You may also drop off items at Justine's house. For arrangements, contact her at

TIP: Places like TJ Maxx have great, inexpensive toys. Or perhaps your children received holidays gifts they don't really want or need and they would like to donate to this great cause?
