SERVICE PROJECT: Immigrant Support Luncheon (UPDATED)

UPDATED: Save the date — April 30th from 12:30-3:30pm — for this month's service project!

The Pleasantville Presbyterian Church, which generously hosted a couple of IP meetings, is holding a luncheon to gather with the Latino immigrant community in and around Pleasantville. The party will celebrate National Children's Day in Mexico, as well as offer a program for adults about immigrant issues (notary publics and lawyers will be available to the attendees).

Indivisible Pleasantville members are invited to volunteer at this event. Most of the program will be conducted in Spanish—so Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially welcome!

There are a number of volunteer opportunities available; please check out the sign-up genius link for more information. One particular need is for a Social Worker or Therapist who can say a few words about how parents should discuss immigration issues with their children. If you are a social worker or know someone who would like to help, please sign up!
